Our last competition for this season was held in Albany NY

The Amoskeag Sound, from Manchester, NH, is one of the performance groups sponsored by The Muchachos Inc., who also sponsor the Muchachos Drum & Bugle Corps.  The name, pronounced "Am - Us - Keg" is taken from the Native American description of the thundering falls along the Merrimack River, that eventually powered and brought the Amoskeag Textile Mills in their hometown city, to world wide prominence in the 18 and early 1900's.

The Amoskeag Sound is a member of MCA (Mini Corps Associates)

The corps was formed to provide a more competitive performance opportunity and challenging repetoire for members of the Muchachos as well as invitation for drum corps alumni who still enjoy playing, but may not have the time nor physical abilities to commit to the schedule of a marching parade and exhibition corps.

2007 was the inaugural season of the corps.  Their very 1st public performance took place at the North American Championships in Bridgeport, CT where they placed 3rd in competition.  They also competed in Rochester NY, as part of DCA (Drum Corps Associates) Championships in September.

Under the leadership of David Lafond, the group performs a repetoire including:
Hava Nagila, The Lonely Bull, Brazil and Oye Como Va. amongst other song titles.
